World Advocates (WA) aims to raise the standard of the nation through reaching orphans.

We began visiting Israel in 1996 building relationships and identifying agencies to partner with Amidst the ongoing game of chess between the Jewish and Palestinian people in Israel, WA provides opportunities for change, growth and education to the poorest of the poor.

A partnership has developed with local agencies to train the poor and needy, in fundamental health care to provide them with food, clothing and medical supplies. We extend assistance to orphans and help them to integrate back into society and become responsible citizens. Maintenance and upgrading various orphanages have become an important part of our operation which resulted in teams visiting us to serve the people in a practical way.

WA pioneered a music- and art therapy project to improve the coordination skills of the mentally- and physically challenged adults and children.

Post traumatic stress among Israeli children
According to one Israeli child psychiatrist: Jerusalem is the city hit hardest by Palestinian violence, about half of the children experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder which is two to three times higher than the rate of children suffering from other causes of trauma either by being at the scene of an attack or by knowing someone injured or killed by terrorists. Seventy per cent of those surveyed reported increased subjective fear or hopelessness.
